Your assignment is to write a career search report in which you examine your career goals and explore that interests you.
 
Papers must be turned in Friday, January 18, 2002

From page 445 of your textbook
I. Intorduction

   A. Gives information about yourself and your interests

   A. Examines Possible Career

      1. Responsibilities

      2. Education

      3. Salary / Benefits

      4. Emoployment Outlook

      5. Advancement

III. Condlusion

   A. Summarize what you have learned

Read Pages 446-447 of your literature text.  Pay close attention to "Designing a Career" and teh "Advantages and Disadvantges" for each career.  This is basically what part of yoru report will look like.  Information about the setup and final copy of your paper are here.

Choose two careers that you might be interested in OR that you want to learn more about.

Research these two careers. Find out the advantages and disadvantages of each one.

** Remember - No job is perfect!

Important facts that your report should include: 1. responsibilities of the job

2. education or training required 3. outlook for employment 4. possible salaries

The above information should be found for BOrn careers that you choose.

FORMAT

Your report will be a total of three pages set up the following way:

Paragraph I.

State the purpose of the paper

Paragraph II.

Briefly mention personal interests and focus on two jobs that reflect those interests.

Paragraph III.

Discuss the first chosen career using the information that you found in your research.

Paragraph IV.

Discuss the second career using the information found in your research.

Paragraph V.

Conclusion - summarize the advantages and disadvantages of each career.

NOTES:

Paragraph I should have at least three complete sentences.

Paragraphs II, III, and IV should have at least five complete sentences Paragraph V should have at least three complete sentences. \ These five paragraphs need to be two pages TYPED.

Page three is the works cited page - a list of the resources that you used.

You need at least two different resources that gives you CURRENT information. ***See attached handout on how to set up the works cited page.

MECHANICS:

Typed - Double spaced

No extra spaces between paragraphs - the entire paper is double spaced. Be sure to indent each new paragraph Font - 14 - Times New Roman
